Prolix broke her maiden in fine style at Bendigo in the Race Services Maiden stepping up to 2400 meters for the first time. The High Chaparral mare jumped well from barrier one but was restrained by Madison Lloyd towards the rear of the field always travelling well within herself. With a great ride by Madison saving ground along the rail and making her move coming to the 600 moving to the outside making their run with favourite Energy Raider with Luke Nolan in the saddle. Prolix hit the front on the turn and kept going to beat Energy Raider by 1 1/2 lengths with a space to third to Dancing With Fire a further 6 lengths back in a time of 2:33.60. With this win Madison out rode her claim in the country.
Prolix was previously trained by Mark Kavanagh and was purchased from William Inglis July online sale for $7000. The five year old mare by High Chaparral from Set To Talk making her a close relation to stakes winner over the spring carnival Shelby Cobra has repayed her owners over $25k since being purchased and there sure to be more wins to follow.
